Art Hotel, Marseille

The Art hotel is a sustainable hotel, with the idea ‘touch the ground lightly’’ I layered the building following the layers of the landscape.

My final project at Sint-Lucas School of Architecture and Art is entitled ‘art hotel.’ A program of 80 rooms and a public area was created with local influences and on site materials. The different rooms are clustered in different ways and connected with a protected passage. In between areas for thinking, creating and exposing art are created. Again individuality in a group of dwellings is important.

The Art hotel is a sustainable hotel, with the idea ‘touch the ground lightly’’ I layered the building following the layers of the landscape. The rooms and public area are connected with an art circuit. Rooms can be single or double height depending on the position of the accommodation on site. Every room has a view, either on the water or on an enclosed garden.

The public zone is created by clustering bigger spaces and connecting them with heated in-between spaces. Diversity and layers are created with paserelles and balconies.
